For the 2024/25 academic year we expect to recruit thirty secondary physical education trainees and sixteen primary with a PE specialism trainees.

The DfE system will automatically forward applications to the programme team who will send an email acknowledging receipt. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview day at one of the partnership schools; these days will consist of a group task, a literacy and data task, a teaching episode and a formal interview. The interview panel will comprise of representatives from the partnership schools. You will be notified through the DfE system of the outcome of your interview.

From September 2024, we are pleased to confirm that we will be working in partnership with Durham SCITT to continue the delivery of high quality ITT teacher training in the North East. The North East Partnership SCITT will be a lead partner for Durham SCITT.
